Spring Tour Results
The 3.0 result is in with Kurt Peterson winning by score in a three way tie for first, between Kurt, Laurette Zucchetti and Mark Splain.

Discovery
We had a great home court showing in the USTA Discovery Challenger held at Boyle oin May 15 & 16 with Boyle Park Juniors taking both the Girls 14 and Boy's 12 events. Derek Austin fought hard to win the Boy's 12's and Hillary Fazekas beat Mikaila Smith, another Boyle Park player, in the finals of the Girls 14's. Mikaila took out the top seed in a great semi final match.

A shout out to the Boyle Park A1 Women for winning the 09/10 Marin League. And to Megan Scholvinck for winning the Lafayette Tennis Club Jr Open last weekend.

The Blast

The Blast is a Doubles Tournament held at Boyle Park every 4th of July weekend. This is a MGPTS event.
The Marin Grand Prix is a series of six tournaments spread out over the year and culminating with a Grand Prix Finale for the top players in their respective divisions. Divisions of play for the Grand Prix are: M,W,MX 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+. For each tournament you participate in, you will earn points for every match won and those points will accumulate throughout the season.  At the end of the regular season, the top four players, in each division will be invited to choose a partner and participate in the Grand Prix Finale at no charge.  The Finale will be a grand affair complete with delicious food, premium refreshments, and wonderul prizes for the winners and finalists. Adult Summer Tour
Starts: June 20
Ends: August 15

The Tour is a self scheduling round robin singles tournament.
There are 4 Tours held each year ... Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.
Players have 8 weeks to complete approximately 8 matches.
You play each player within your group once.
A draw sheet with phone numbers is provided and players are responsible for arranging matches.
Draws will be grouped by rating or estimate.
All divisions available from 3.0 & under to 5.0.
There will be playoffs held within divisions for group winners.
Prizes will be awarded. Fee: $30.

Youth Programs at Boyle

Summer Camp
This years Summer Camp will start June 14 - August 27.
We are expanding the Camp to 5 days a week this summer with a new extended all day option for kids who want to stay all day.
Camp starts on June 14 and goes to August 27.
Hours are AM Camp 9:30am - 12:30 and PM Camp 1 - 4pm.

Short Court Showdown Quick Start Tournaments
This is a wonderful program for kids 12 and under. It helps them develop essential physical skills and also fosters healthy and positive attitudes towards sports & competition. “Quick Start Tennis” offers a standardized progression of court size, racquet size and ball speed appropriate to the age, skill level and physical characteristics of the kids on court. Smaller courts, lighter and more manageable racquets and slower bouncing balls allow the kids to play right away and fall in love with this great sport for life. Junior Summer Tour
June 27 - August 15
This is an 8 week event for more experinced juniors 14 & U and 12 & U.
The Junior Tour follows the same format as the adult tour.
This is a round robin singles tournament.
Participants are given a draw sheet with a suggested order of play.
Matches are self-scheduled.
Participants have 8 weeks to complete approximately 7 matches.
Matches may be scheduled at any time.
Groups will be divided by age and ability.
T- shirt provided. Trophies will be awarded.
It’s a great way to get in some match play and to meet some partners.
